Roadtrip, New bike.

Doing an XS Cafe for a fellow in LA.
Itll have a few neat twists to it that havent been done before.

The drive to get it was about 7 hours round trip, & the last 60 miles was up up up hill to a neat old town that had some really cool building, mostly empty. One build went on for a few blocks continuously, I assume it was for trains.

I went that far for nice clean survivor XS. Low miles, strong runner. Went I got it home, stone cold its started on second kick. Think I got a winner.

Something wicked this way comes.

Spy shots.
Matts project.
Itll be a lotta black, & a lotta fast.

How to tune carbs in the snow

Matt needed to re jet the carbs on the 750 since it would run the free flowing exhaust & stacks in place of the factory airbox. They are finicky carbs that some say cant be set right. He nailed it.

Since it started snowing during testing session, he opted to still test & tune making use of my vans rear bumper so he could still go from idle to full throttle under load. The result as always with Matt was entertaining.

The tire was good for about 2 minutes.

Matts Cafe' in Metal

Matt has been working diligently on this CB750 Cafe styled bike thats spooky fast.
A lot of grinding, welding, sanding, etc so it can go Black. Lots O Black.

Tesla is back on the Bench.

Removed the body to weld up & made a proper chain tensioner. It uses a double spring that can use different weight springs, & has adjustable tension preset.

From My sons Blog on BSA500......

Kyle my son apparently takes better pictures then me, so Im reposting his post from his Blog. Kinda Proud of him....shhhhhh. His blog is the Zen Angel one in my blog list.

>>>>>>>>Here's pics from the little day trip me, matt, and dad took.

Everbody should know that Cafe Racers were bikes that were built to be stripped down, low weight, fast as snot motorcycles. They were typically owned by younger guys that weren't old enough to get into bars and so they would race eachother to the surrounding Cafe's... get it? It became quite a trend and that's where the name came from (I think, makes sense) So we begin our post with some coffee from the Bean Hollow in Ellicott City, MD.

The bike in the pictures is now for sale on Ebay, click here if you're interested <<<<<<<<

Not Carbs for dinner again......

Getting the Carb for BSA cleaned out & ready to gogo.

Redid the swing arm to my liking a bit.

And now for something completely different.

Ive never tried to upholster anything from scratch. So I figured this Cafe' seat would be a good simple one to play with. I do not have a clue what Im doing here, but I know what I wanted it to look like, & I think I got it.

My helpers were relentless, thats their job, mess with stuff I need.
