Well, it was time to say goodbye to the Ural Racer. I took it to Alabama to a good group of guys that are into Land Rovers & have the best office space ever.
It was nice meeting you fellows, & hopefully We'll see you again.

Well, these "great guys" just put your bike back on eBay with a buy it now price of $7900 not even 30 days later...here is the link:
BTW...in their ad they said they called and spoke with you guys and it makes it sound like you retained this dealer out of Birmingham AL to sell the bike... This is the 1st paragraph from their ad:
"1994 Custom Built Motorcycles 650 Custom by Saint Motor Co The description you read below are the words of the actual bike builder. I had the pleasure of speaking with him on the phone and he was gracious enough to allow me the opportunity of representing the bike in his own words."
and the rest of their ad looks like they copy and pasted your previous ad off of eBay word for word...so I am a little confused...did you guys sell the bike on eBay or did the deal fall through and now you hired another company to sell the bike for you for almost double the price you got on eBay?
Its all good Kevin, no foul. Yes, I sold it to a group that deals in Old Land Rovers, they bought it to flip, & they paid me well to deliver it to them so we could meet & chat about bikes, it was a nice trip for me & my girl.
3 days later, a fellow up the street from them saw it & wanted it in his office as art, so he bought it. Hes ridden it to & loves it.
He did call me a bit ago & said he kinda has to sell it, but was reluctant...long private story, but with reason. He asked if he could use my words & photos, I told him of course , & I was happy to answer any questions as well.
Im happy when stuff I build sells for more. I sold Ural very cheap, but didnt expect much either as it is a Ural, with a Russian title.
2 other bikes I had build have been resold, neither of them sold for less then the owners paid for them, which is a great thing. Think about all the guys that bough the huge rear tire choppers a few years ago for 20-30,000 & cant sell them for a 1/4 of that now...then Id feel real bad.
Its all good, makes people feel comfortable buying a bike from me, if everyone Ive sold, & they sell later it gets more, thats about as good as it gets.

I know you have no control over what people do with the bikes after you sell them...but like what they say in the south: this just ain't right!
