BSA 441 board tracker, sealing the tank

This would be soooo much easier is the bike wasnt the tank :)

Mix up the sealer..

Pour in plenty o sealer

 Spin, tilt, and move around tank (frame in this case) to get everywhere inside..

As it becomes thick, after about a half hour of the the tilt/spin game, drain off the excess, and clean threads in petcock bung.

Then wait a few hours and.........repeat.

Its so crazy it just might work.

Imperfections spot filled, guide coat applied and then sanded.

Last coats of primer tinted black so I could see better what I had.

It was then sprayed with 3 coats of Black Base, and 3 coats of Urethane clear.

I also removed right foot peg to replace with a pivoting peg mount, it will be folded up the kickstart the bike.

I finished the bodywork on the frame and tank. First it got a couple coats of Etching primer then urethane primer that cured, then sanded and  re-primed. Next will be urethane sealer, base coat, then clear coated.

Hot.....did I mention its hot?

Well I got power back, which is nice. It means showers, and bathroom, and AC, and shop tools and fan. For those in the east that are stuck without power til the end of week, Im sooo sorry, it sucks. I hope the heat backs off soon for you.

Now if I just had AC in the shop I could last more than a couple hours at a time. woof.
